YOKO is a distinctive stylish table collection inspired by the designer couple Stilleben’s following their first trip to Japan. The name Yoko is a Japanese females name. The humble yet unique sculptural forms challenge the porcelain material: strong yet delicate. Perfect for daily use or exciting guests.

“IN THIS COLLECTION THE COLOUR RED IS INSPIRED BY THE ANCIENT URUSHI NIPPONICO (LACQUERED COLOR), WHILE THE NAVY-BLUE COLOUR RELATES TO THE TRADITION OF DECORATIONS OF PORCELAIN”

The YOKO teapot is the principal part of the collection. The cups and carafe add a ceremonial and traditional feel to the set. The enamelled-looking colours are inspired and worked according to the ancient Japanese tradition of urushi lacquer.

“WE PLANNED TO CREATE A SCULPTURAL AND DISTINCTIVE TABLE COLLECTION, THAT COULD UNDERLINK THE PURITY OF WHITE PORCELAIN, AND CREATE MOMENTS OF ATTENTION AND CALM, REPRESENTIVE OF JAPAN”
